I wrote this poem a while ago. It’s a reflection of what happened in my life a couple of years before.
What is difficult for many people in this world to believe is miracles do happen. They’re not only all around us in the beauty that is life, but in answer to calls and prayers we send. The universe is listening to everything we say and do. People choose to deny this possibility because admitting it exists is an accountability not everyone is able or willing to embrace. We have an active role in creation.
It certainly wasn’t the reality I operated in. Despite all the challenges I’d obviously created, I had carried with me the impression that life was a manufactured scene of which I had no control.
Having lost vision in one of my eyes decades earlier, I was given a disturbing diagnosis of impending diminished vision in my healthy eye. It wasn’t long after this that the purple mist surrounded me and my true awakening began to bring me new life and healing.
I’m one of many who’ve been awakened.
To those who have no clue what those words mean, suffice it to say, it’s not an easy concept to interpret or comprehend unless you’ve been through it. It’s not for the faint of heart and if you’re like me, a bit older, there’ll be a lot of stuff to get through. It’s a journey of self-discovery away from the beaten path and where you end up has a lot to do with how much you’re willing to recognize the parts of you that need healing.
I hope this poem helps you realize you are never alone. There is divine Love we may not all be able to see, but if we allow our hearts to open, we’ll be able to sense and feel it.
